I'm follwing ur blog for quite sumtime now,interesting!It shows that ur an avid traveller.One favour,v frds,14 of us are planning to make a 2 day trip to valparai and athirampalli.v will b arriving coimbatore on a saturday moring and v ve booked a hotel for our stay in valparai. v r starting bak on sunday night. i heard that ther s a othayadai pathai from valparai to athirampalli[heard very scenic and risky too]. v want to experience tat route. but v ve to get bak to cbe before 7 on sunday. we want to go to athirapalli d first day and nest next day v want to go to valparai, would tat b fine?pls provide ur suggestion.
Hi Anon, yes there is a scenic and risky route from athirampalli to valparai, but it not othayadi pathai, it's a tarred road, though it is good only in patches. This time of the year, it might be raining there, so you have to take precautions. You said, you have booked your stay in Valparai, so it makes sense if you do the route from Valparai to Athirampalli rather than the other way round. Yes, you can complete the trip in 2 days - day 1 in valparai, stay the night there, day 2 early morning you leave to athirampalli and by evening you will be coimbatore. All the best.
